JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office says it has received more than a dozen tips and followed up on several reported sightings, but Onnika Fisher remains missing.

Police also issued an arrest warrant for her mother, Charity Chatman, who is accused of abducting her daughter Friday afternoon from a center in Lakewood.

JSO said in a news conference at 11 a.m. Saturday that officers need more tips from the community to help bring Onnika back home safe.

"We do not know the whereabouts of Onnika or her mother," said Asst. Chief Chris Butler.  "Our main concern is the safety and safe return of Onnika."

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement issued an Amber Alert around 8:30 on Friday night, about three hours after Chatman abducted her daughter from the Jewish Family & Community Services Center in Lakewood.

Action News learned Chatman, during a supervised visit, told a caseworker she had gifts in her car for her daughter.

As the two approached the car, a spokesman for the Department of Children & Families told Action News Chatman pushed her daughter into the car and drove off.

"It's a process that takes place," said Butler.  "This went as quickly as it could, certain criteria has to be met," said Butler.

Police said Chatman frequently visits the downtown area, the beaches and the area of Lakewood where the abduction took place.  Officers are circling back to check area hotels, including Red Roof Inns, which police say Chatman visits regularly.

DCF said Chatman lost custody of her daughter about six weeks ago, at around the same time she received an injunction for protection against repeat violence by a woman in Atlantic Beach.

Onnika was last seen wearing a pink jacket with a white polka dot lining, blue jeans and her hair in a pony tail.

Investigators say she may be with her mother in a 2000, dark green Buick Century with an Ohio tag number FPA 4958.

Call 911 if you see them. Call Crime Stoppers at 866-845-TIPS to remain anonymous. You could get a cash reward of up to $3,000 if your tip leads to an arrest.
