Chad Henne named Jaguars starting Quarterback for Sunday's game
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Jacksonville Jaguars will have a new quarterback on Sunday against the Tennessee Titans. Chad Henne has been named the starter even if Blaine Gabbert is healthy enough to play.
Jaguars head coach Mike Mularkey made the announcement on Monday.
"Blaine is questionable because of his injury," said Mularkey. "Chad Henne will start against the Titans."
Mularkey said Henne looked good on tape and produced when given the opportunity.
"He was brought in here in case something happened to Blaine," said Mularkey.
The Jaguars are still unsure about Gabbert's health after he was knocked out of the game with a forearm injury against Houston.
Henne completed 16 of 33 passes for 354 yards and four touchdowns in relief and almost led the Jaguars to a win. Jacksonville fell to 1-9 with a 43-37 overtime loss to the Texans.
