Dow closes above 14,000 for first time since October 2007
NEW YORK (AP) - The Dow has closed above the 14,000 level for the first time since the Great Recession. The blue chip index leapt 149 points today on news of strong January auto sales and a strengthening jobs market. The broader indexes also jumped more than one percent, with the S&P adding 15 points to 1,513 and the Nasdaq picking up 37 to 3,179.
