JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office suspects foul play in the death of a man found inside his westside home.
The JSO said it got a call around 4:50 p.m. Sunday to a home on the 300 block of North Cahoon Road.
According to detectives, James Timothy Waters, 54, was found dead inside his home by a friend who went over to his house to watch the football game.
Police are not releasing how Waters died, but say there are no signs of forced entry.
According to neighbor Robin Mayes, her neighborhood has been no stranger to violence lately.
"I've been here three years and this is the third killing within a mile of my house," said Mayes.
According to Sgt. Dan Janson, police officers have been called out to Waters home before, but would not mention details surrounding the circumstance of that call.
"My understanding is that there was a call out in the past about week and a half or so," said Janson.
Janson said Waters has two adult sons but it appears he lived alone in the home.
