JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A Jacksonville Sheriff's Office patrol car rear-ended another car, injuring the teen driver.

Police say the crash happened around 4:30 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of Sutton Lakes and Atlantic Boulevard.

A marked police cruiser hit a black Honda driven by a female teenager. Police say the officer was not responding to a call at the time of the crash. The teen driver was taken to Baptist Medical Center Beaches to be evaluated. Police say she is expected to recover.

Police say they are still trying to determine why the officer drove into the other car.

This happens 4-5 times a month!! JSO will not release the stats! They use computers in the car while driving,, not just talking on a phone or texting ( by way its ILLEGAL TO TEXT AND DRIVE )but interact with a full screen computer!!!
