Macky Weaver resigns as Jaguars VP of sales, will remain on staff for 2013
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Macky Weaver, a 19-year veteran of the Jaguars front office, has stepped down.
He announced his resignation Monday afternoon. The Jaguars praised his years of service as a charter member of the front office team.
"Macky Weaver is one of a handful of people who can say they helped put the Jaguars on the map here in Jacksonville, and he should always be very proud of that," Jaguars owner Shad Khan said. "I'll always appreciate his personal efforts to introduce me to the community and make me feel at home as the new owner of the Jaguars."
Weaver was senior vice president of sales since 2010 after serving in a variety of roles with the team since its inception in 1994. He will remain on the staff in 2013 as senior advisor to Jaguars president Mark Lamping.
