BRUNSWICK, Ga. -- Two young women were killed when a tree fell on their car in Glynn County.

The incident happened shortly before 11 a.m. on State Road 303 on Blythe Island, near the entrance to Blythe Island Regional Park, according to Candace Temple, the public information officer for the Glynn County Board of Commissioners.

The victims have been identified as 22-year-old Kaleigh Miller and 23-year-old Ashley Akra.  Both were from Brunswick. The women were in a Nissan Sentra when a tree fell, killing them. Miller was a mother of three who worked at Michael's Deli in Brunswick. Her youngest child is just 3 months old.

"It'll hit me more tomorrow," said Carla Miller, Kaleigh's mother. "We're not celebrating that. There's nothing to be thankful for right now."
