Police: 11-year-old boy accidentally shot by 4-year-old in Lake City

LAKE CITY, Fla. -- Police say an 11-year-old boy is in critical condition after getting shot by a 4-year-old child.

The shooting happened at the Cedar Park Apartments on Sunday.

The Lake City Police Department called the shooting an accident.

Exactly how the youngster got his hands on the firearm and whether charges will be filed is under investigation.

The victim remains in critical condition.

I think the adult male also in the apartment should be checked out,something doesn't wash.

I think we should try the 4 year old as an adult. No wait, it's the gun's fault. I'm sorry. I need to quit thinking like a politician. Of course the parents are at fault here.

Of course charges should be filed, against the guardians or/owners of the gun.
