Police looking for gunmen in Arlington shooting
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. --
Police are searching for a group of men allegedly responsible for shooting two men in Arlington Tuesday afternoon. Investigators say the men were shot in a parking lot on the 2900 block of Townsend Boulevard during an argument between two groups.
"Two parties that knew each other had a meeting. A fight ensued and during that fight, gunfire was exchanged between two parties," said JSO Sgt. Bobby Lyle.
JSO detectives tell Action News the victims were rushed to Shands Jacksonville and are expected to survive. Witnesses spotted three or four men running from the scene. Police are reviewing surveillance video.
"Right now, it looks like they knew each other. That's what we think," said Lyle, "But we have no idea what the fight may have been over."
Police recovered one handgun from the shooting scene in the parking lot outside the Townsend Food Mart, but made no arrests.
