JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A man accused of robbing a bank in downtown Jacksonville didn't get very far.
Police arrested the suspect less than two blocks away from The Jacksonville Bank on North Laura Street, about thirty minutes after the robbery.
Action News photojournalist Russ Pyne took photos of the suspect as police placed him into custody.
Investigators say a man entered the bank around 11:30 a.m. and left with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Police would not say whether the man had a gun or gave the teller a note asking for money.
Police would only say officers captured the suspect a block and a half away while in a grey Dodge, and that the robbery is not connected to any other recent bank robberies.
Authorities said the stolen cash has been recovered.
Police shut down several streets around the bank as part of the investigation. There's no immediate word on whether those roads have reopened.
