Westside SWAT standoff ends

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The JSO SWAT team responded to a Westside home Sunday morning.

Around 1 a.m. officers responded to Beverly Avenue.  Police say a man barricaded himself inside his home with a gun. 

A friend of the homeowner flagged down officers out of concern for the man. Police say when they entered the home, the unidentified man was dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. No reason for the disturbance was released.
