14th Annual Children's Christmas Party of Jacksonville held
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Christmas came early to thousands of Jacksonville children in need Saturday morning.
Family's started gathering during the early morning hours for their chance to pick from a variety of donated gifts at the Prime Osborne Convention Center.
Everything from hundreds of bicycles to teddy bears were up for grabs.
It is estimated around 8,000 children took advantage of the community’s generosity.
The Children's Christmas Party of Jacksonville is a non-profit organization that was founded in 1999 by Travis and Margaret Storey with the mission of providing toys for Jacksonville's children who otherwise might not receive any for Christmas.
This is the 14th year the Children's Christmas Party of Jacksonville has held the event.
