GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Two men were arrested after a task force and SWAT team investigation today.
The Gainesville Alachua County Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at 1031 N.E. 8th Ave. in Gainesville along with the Gainesville Police Department SWAT team. The task force found large amounts of marijuana and cocaine. A large amount of cash and two firearms were also found at the scene.
Two men were arrested. Marcus Chatman, 27, is being charged with possession of a Firearm by Convicted Felon. Gerald Richardson, 30, is being charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Distribute.
The Gainesville Police Department Special Operations Unit also responded to collect some possibly stolen items. The investigation is continuing.
