JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A convicted armed robber was sentenced to life in prison.
Charles Jerome Culp, 23, was sentenced to mandatory life in prison for his involvement in a 2011 armed robbery.
Culp was convicted last month on two counts of armed robbery and one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
In February 2011, Culp and Cleona Housandtroutman held up the Subway on Parental Home Road. The two had handguns and wore bandanas on their faces. Culp forced customers to the floor and took money from them and the store. Culp and Housandtroutman were caught minutes later.
Culp was convicted in 2007 on a charge of armed robbery. He is also charged in two unrelated armed robbery cases.
