Another news outlet reported more information stating the name of the victim, and reporting that he was heading home from work. Also said that he had all the safety equipment for night riding required by law. Shows how important it is to have all the info before you start making stupid accusations!

1 drunk on a bike & 1 drunk in a vehicle,, at 1 am ??? the driver never realized he/she hit the bicyclist,, and the bicyclist never knew what hit em !!! ain't no reasonable reason to be bike riding in the "dead" of night.. now ya all know where that saying came from.. perhaps the bicyclist simply fell over from all the alcohol consumed ???yes it could even have been an out of towner,, come for nites of lites, & may never be caught... and with minimal damage to his/her vehicle, can be easily explained as a parking lot incident.. not everyone has comprehensive insurance, so it may not have been reported...

Scary, my friends and I were on the same road only four hours later. I know there was a lot of confusion during that time due to the Nigh of Lights and the half marathon. The cyclist may not have had lights and was having to ride in the traffic lane. Still, there is no excuse for running and leaving someone for dead. I hope this person is found and brought to justice. This town doesn't need any more irresponsible drivers.
