Canadian man gets prison time for child porn sharing
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A man from Jacksonville is going to prison for receiving child pornography over the Internet.
Christian Yvon Lapierre, 47, received a sentence of 77 months in prison.
An investigator with the Florida Attorney General's Office tracked child porn files to an IP address in Jacksonville. The IP address led to Lapierre's home. Authorities seized two computers and other digital media from Lapierre's residence. He admitted to downloading the files, and to having some that showed children and "teen stuff."
Lapierre must also serve seven years of supervised release and register as a sex offender.
