Cross-country theif convicted in armed robbery
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Terrance Hightower faces a mandatory life sentence after stealing a purse and wallet and fleeing to New Jersey.
Hightower was convicted by a Duval County Judge on Wednesday of 2 counts of armed robbery stemming from incident that happened back in April 2009 along Margaret Street.
According to the the State Attorney's Office, this was not Hightower's first run-in with the law. He has been convicted of burglaries in Volusia County within the past 3 years.
Hightower will be sentenced the week of February 19, 2013.
