Deputies: man injures elderly woman during home invasion

OCALA, Fla. -- A man deputies suspect broke into a woman's home then stole her car is behind bars in Marion County.

Richard Lee Haberlin, 33, is charged in the home invasion that happened Tuesday in the 3900 block of S. E. 24th Street. Deputies say Haberlin pushed the 72-year old victim into her home from the garage and snatched her purse and jewelry. The suspect then left in her SUV.

The vehicle was found a short time later at a nearby Winn-Dixie. The victim suffered minor injuries.

Haberlin was booked into the Marion County Jail and bond was set at $50,000.
