JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The public is invited to watch the Duval County Supervisor of Elections Office test the accuracy of the voting and tabulating equipment ahead of the November 6, 2012 General Election.

The testing is at 9 a.m. on Thursday, October 18, 2012 at the Supervisor of Elections Branch Office located at 5200-2 Norwood Ave, Jacksonville, Florida.

Florida law requires the Supervisor of Elections to conduct a public test of the county’s automatic tabulation equipment and reporting software before each election to make sure it is operating and recording properly. The testing is performed on a random sampling of all the tabulating equipment that will be used on Election Day.
