Fatal crash in Lake City
LAKE CITY, Fla. -- A Lake City man was killed Saturday night in a single vehicle car crash on US 90.
According to the Florida Highway, Patrol Virendra Patel, 47, was operating a 2006 Jeep Commander when he became incapacitated because of a medical emergency and swerved off the roadway.
The overturned and came to rest on its side.
Patel was transported to the Lake City Medical Center where he was pronounced as deceased.
Five other occupants were also transported to local hospitals with various injuries.
