YULEE, Fla. -- A Nassau County man was convicted on Friday of one count of Child Abuse.
Andrew Stephen Gmelin II, 30, was watching his three-month-old son, when the child was injured.
The infant was taken to the hospital where doctors found evidence that Gmelin shook the infant, causing bleeding in the brain.
Gmelin faces five years in prison and will be sentenced November 15, 2012.
