Flagler College president wins leadership award

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- William T Abare, Jr., won an award for his leadership at Flagler College and his support for higher education.

The Flagler College president has been selected as the 2012 recipient of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges James T. Rogers Distinguished Leadership Award.

The award was recently presented at the associations' annual meeting in Dallas.

President Abare has just completed two terms as a Trustee of the Commission on Colleges.  Abare served as Chairman of the Committee on Compliance and Reports, He also served as a Special Reader for the Compliance and Reports.
