GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Christian Aguilar's remains are back in Miami for Tuesday's funeral.
Aguilar's family drove to Gainesville this morning, where the medical examiner released the remains.
The University of Florida student disappeared in late September. His friend, Pedro Bravo, originally told police he got into a fight with Aguilar and left him on the side of the road, hurt and bleeding. Dozens of students and local families started searching the woods in the area for any sign of Aguilar.
In October, a group of hunters came across a body in the woods in Levy County. The medical examiner confirmed the body was Aguilar's.
Pedro Bravo pleaded not guilty to First Degree Murder and Felony Kidnapping. His arraignment, which was scheduled for Wednesday, has been canceled. His next pretrial hearing is set for November 28, 2012.
