GAINESVILLE, Fla. –- A building fire Saturday destroyed two apartments in The Pines apartment complex and left other units damaged.
Gainesville Fire Rescue units found a heavy amount of smoke and fire coming from two residences upon arrival to the complex.
GFR quickly contained the fire keeping flames from significantly damaging other apartments.
The American Red Cross is assisting families displaced by the fire.
No injuries were reported during the blaze.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
