GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- A man accused of stalking a female in Gainesville is behind bars in the Alachua County Jail.
Detectives with the Alachua County Sheriff's Office arrested Ernesto Boada Monday after he made a series of attempts to coerce a female into his vehicle.
The most recent incident occurred on May 31, at a bus stop on 75th Street in Gainesville. Boada drove past the bus stop, turned around, and approached the female who was waiting for a bus. Boada obstructed traffic and ordered the female to "get in." The female declined and Boada drove away, according to police.
Over the past six months, Boada has contacted the same female victim on 10 occasions and attempted to get her into his vehicle.
The Alachua County Sheriff's Office has received information related to Boada involving similar incidents in the area and in southwest Gainesville.
Boada has been driving a green 2005 Toyota Scion.
The Sheriff's Office believes there may be other unreported incidents involving this suspect.
Boada has been charged with stalking and possession of a drug without prescription.
