Jaxport manager accepts new job in Tampa
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Tampa Port Authority announced Raul Alfonso will leave the River City, to join former CEO Paul Anderson in Tampa.
Alfonso joined Jaxport in 2002 and worked as a senior director of trade development and global marketing.
According to a Tampa Port Authority press release, during Alfonso's time at Jaxport, the port became Florida's leader for handling container cargo and the number 1 U.S. port for exports of cars.
"We are very pleased to bring Raul on board to our executive management team and are eager to incorporate his global industry knowledge, contacts and business development skills to the Port of Tampa" said CEO Paul Anderson.
Alfonso will begin his new post in Tampa February 4th, 2013.
