Local man sentenced for shooting & robbery
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A local man was sentenced to 40 years in prison for an attempted armed robbery and shooting.
In 2009, police say 24 year old Marvin Golden, Jr. and two co-defendants drove around the Philips Highway area looking for someone to rob.
They found Miguel Ordonez at the Suntree Trailer Park.
Police say an accomplice approached Ordonez posing as a prostitute. That’s when Golden held Ordonez up with a handgun.
During the robbery, Golden fired a shot, hitting Ordonez in the shoulder.
