Local man sentenced in child porn case

COLUMBIA COUNTY, Fla. -- A 24-year-old man from Columbia County has been sentenced to six years in prison for receiving child porn over the internet.

Robert Allen Brammer was also sentenced to 10 years supervised release after he serves his prison time.  Brammer will also have to register as a sex offender and forfeit his computer and files.

Detectives working with the North Florida Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force began their undercover operation to find people who were using a particular file sharing program to obtain child porn.  On September 3, 2010, a federal search warrant was executed at Brammer's home in High Springs.  His laptop computer and a desktop tower computer were seized.

According to investigators, Brammer admitted to searching and downloading child porn for three-and-a-half years.  Twenty-eight images and 15 videos of child porn were recovered from his computers.
