Macclenny woman killed in ATV crash
JASPER, Fla. -- A woman riding with her husband on an all-terrain vehicle near Jasper died Saturday evening after her husband overcorrected the ATV according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The FHP says James Allen Treece 21, was driving on a curved section of SE 62nd Drive when Courtney Brooke Treece, 20, fell from the vehicle and struck her head on the roadway.
Neither the passenger nor the driver were wearing helmets.
First responders tell Action News that Courtney succumbed to her injuries at the scene.
Alcohol results are pending and the crash remains under investigation according the crash report.
