Man arrested on meth charges in St. Johns County

ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. -- Police arrested a man on various meth related charges.

Darryl Anthony Yanskey, 59, of Ponce Island Drive, was arrested on charges of production of methamphetamine; possession of methamphetamine with intent to sell, manufacture or deliver; possession of drug paraphernalia; and violation of probation on Wednesday.

Yanskey was booked into the county jail and will have a first appearance on Thursday morning.

Deputies said they responded to Yanskey's home after a request from his probation officer. Yanskey is on probation out of St. Charles County, Mo. for methamphetamine charges.

According to deputies, they observed several items allegedly used to manufacture methamphetamine and detectives with the Sheriff's Office Special Investigations Unit responded to continue the investigation. During the search detectives located methamphetamine that had been recently produced along with drug paraphernalia.

Members of the Sheriff's Office Clandestine Lab Enforcement Team also responded to dismantle the lab and collect any evidence.
