FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. -- A Palm Coast man was sentenced to 40 years in prison in a 2011 liqur store robbery.

Jaquez Shakim Roland, 35, was sentenced to the maximum of 40 years in prison. In May, Roland was convicted of robbery with a weapon, grand theft, false imprisonment,  and battery.

On October 30th, 2011, Roland robbed a liquor store wearing a full facial motorcycle helmet, black leather jacket, motorcycle gloves mask and motorcycle gear. After stuffing cash into his pockets, he threw out the motorcycle jacket and gloves in the woods behind the liquor store. He then went to a fast-food store a block away to make a phone call. He aroused the attention of customers and employees because he arrived sweaty and anxious. The DNA evidence on the jacket and gloves found in the trash was a match.
