ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. -- A local motorcyclist is in serious condition after being hit by a SUV.
It happened Sunday night on A1A in Ponte Vedra. According to police, the motorcyclist, 26-year-old Jason Jones, was leaving the McDonald's parking lot when he turned into the path of the SUV.
Jones had to be air-lifted to UF & Shands Jacksonville. He is in serious condition.
The SUV was driven by 22-year-old Hanna Hayden. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
