JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- There's new hope this week for veterans recovering from war. New numbers show more than 50-thousand veterans in Florida are waiting an average 232 days for money to pay for the health care they need.

Instead of waiting months or even years to get answers, money and care, a new offer could clear claims in as little as 30 days.

"It's as simple as our clients having all the evidence right there ready to submit at the time of their claims being submitted," veteran Justin Hart said.

A veteran along with a service organization such as the vfw or dav, files what's called a "fully developed claim", meaning all the paperwork, medical records and supporting documents that often slow down the process, are already collected before anything is filed with the veterans administration.

This new offer was mandated by Congress, which added an incentive. If a veteran has all the paperwork ahead of time, he or she could receive an extra year's worth of disability benefits.

The incentive will be available beginning Tuesday and running through 2015.

I am sorry you are still going through this Realchange, have you written a personal letter to our State Senator, he should get a fire lit under someones ass in Congress. I know first hand how crooked the armed services can be, I'm can't say about the Navy, Marines or the Airforce, but the Army did me wrong and they know it.

The fact is the VA cheats veterans and refuses to give them jury trials. I have enough evidence to bury the VA with jury trial. They refuse to give veterans trials stating the government can never wrong a veteran. I served in Desert Storm off coast of Israel. I am sick with what many call Gulf War Illness. I have rare blood enzyme disorder that is vulnerable to chemical weapon, anthrax vaccine, and other vaccines and chemical spills. I am denied service connection disability will never happen in their words. Congress refuses to change the law to include people that served my area. Congress and all Presidents that served since Desert Storm want give certain veterans benefit of the doubt and cheat other veterans and refuse them trial by jury as the Constitution requires. Ironically vets that flew out Saudi Arabian airports or served on ships only 85 miles away from my subs location are service connected. Anyone tells you the VA is fair and impartial, that they do the right thing in processing claims,or that they are not a political agency when it comes to cheating veterans is very much a criminal. I served my country was poisoned, my health began going down hill then the lies and propaganda began by the US government. Congress is more than content to allow me to be cheated so long as it protects the government story of a "mystery" illness. The news stations could care less since it's an old story and 85 percent of desert storm veterans are service connected. Who cares if a few are cheated of disability and lies are told to the American people about the rest.
