ORANGE PARK, Fla. -- Tyrone Walker Jr., 20, of Orange Park recently moved into his grandmother's Miami-Gardens house to attend school in South Florida. A relative found both their bodies inside the home Tuesday.
"Neither one of them was answering the phone, so he found a way in the house and found them both in the room, taped, tied and both shot in the back of the head," said Eric Spinks, Walker's brother.
Action News spoke Wednesday with grieving family members who still live in the Orange Park house where Walker grew up.
Relatives say the grandmother, Annette Anderson, 70, had lived in that same home for nearly 50 years without incident. Walker's siblings say he was the kind of guy who constantly stayed out of trouble, but trouble somehow found him in South Florida.
"He always used to tell us that bad things happen to people down there for no reason," said Spinks.
"I think they were trying to get money, honestly," said Walker's older brother, Kenny, "But grandma never kept any money in the house."
Police haven't made any arrests.
