Police work two shootings with multiple victims
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- One man is dead after a shooting on the Northside on Thursday.
The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office and the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department worked two shooting scenes within five blocks of each other.
Authorities were first called to 26th Street and Chase Street in reference to a shooting. Police found two victims with gunshot wounds.
Soon after, units were called to 31st Street and Chase Street in reference to another shooting where they found one victim with gunshot wounds.
Police say it started on 26th Street when two people rode up, got into an argument with a third person and a shooting broke out.
One man was pronunced dead at Shands Hospital. Another victim is in critical and the third had non-life-threatening injuries.
