Restaurant Report: Picadilly, Romano's, & Bistro AIX
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (ActionNewsJax.com) -- A popular local lunchtime spot has landed at the top of the list for violations in this week's Restaurant Report.
Piccadilly Cafeteria on University Boulevard racked up 23 violations, 19 of them critical. Issues included a soiled wall in the dishwashing area, food not properly date marked and slime in the ice machine.
Romano's Deli and Pizza on A1A South had 17 critical violations. Dead roaches on premises, rodent droppings and a toxic item stored in the food prep area were reported.
Bistro AIX in San Marco was cited for 16 critical violations this week. Some of the issues included having an inaccurate food thermometer, leaving a bottle of liquor in ice used for drinks, and not properly date marking food. According to the report, those issues were fixed while the inspector was still on-site.
