JACKSONVILLE, Fla.-- A special day for a special batch of kids.
Kids from Dreams Come True, SeaMark Ranch, Special Olympics and Wolfson Children's Hospital got up close and personal with their favorite Jags players...and the newest member of the Big Cat family...Sanya Richards-Ross.
"At least one day where they can forget about all that, and just have fun, be a kid, forget about all that, not in the hospital. For me, that's the least we can do," she said.
The wife of Jaguars cornerback Aaron Ross may have a lot of gold bling...but today: it was about the smiles.
"I'm not worried about that, I'm just trying to give my attention to the kids," she continued.
Blake Herndon, 11, couldn't be happier. He has a form of leukemia, so with treatments, he doesn't get out much.
"I think it's very nice for them to do that with us because it is kind of hard to go through chemo and not have to worry about that and just play with the Jags," he said with a smile.
The kids went through drills and ran races...but more importantly, learned determination and love...despite challenges.
Blake plans on becoming a quarterback when he gets well. As for Sanya...you can catch her at EverBank cheering on her husband.
