COLUMBIA COUNTY, Fla. -- The Columbia County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in trying to solve an armed robbery that took place at a Lake City convenience store Saturday morning.
Around 7:15 a.m. the suspect entered the Stop and Go Food Store off of SR 47 and demanded money.
The suspect was armed with a handgun.
He quickly fled the store with an undetermined amount of money and got into a light green mini van.
The suspect is described as a male, standing around 6 feet tall with a thin to medium build. He was wearing dark colored pants, a gray hooded sweatshirt and light colored Nike athletic sneakers at the time of the robbery. The suspect also wore a black ski type mask over his face.
