JACKSONVILLE, Fla.-- FDLE is investigating a company hired by the Florida GOP over fraudulent voters.

Strategic Allied Consulting was hired by the Florida GOP several months ago. Last week, Duval Supervisor of Elections Jerry Holland noticed some voter registrations appeared to be written by the same person.

"You could tell by the appearance they were written by the same person," said Holland.

The second red flag for Holland were fake addresses. One person put an address on Harris Street. We checked. It doesn't exist.

There are more than two dozen others just like them and even more across Florida. They were all done by a third-party group, hired by the state GOP to get people registered. When the state GOP found out about the potentially fake voters, they turned in Strategic Allied Consulting. It's now being investigated by FDLE.

We called the group. They told Action News they don't tolerate violations when registering voters.

In a statement, they say: "We also have in place a background check system and stringent quality controls meant to prevent individuals from skirting the system. ... Rest assured, contractors who cannot follow our rules -- or the law -- are fired immediately."

Democrat and State Representative Mia Jones says something needs to be done. "When it was the other side, they were quick to take action. We have to have an election where they know we have qualified registrants in our state," said Jones.

That's what the supervisor of elections is trying to do, but this makes that harder. "It takes longer to deal with all the bogus ones and it slows the entire process," said Holland.

The company is doing its own investigation, and wouldn't say if the people here in Duval County were fired.

Because of the allegations here in Florida, Virginia's Republican party also canceled its contract with Strategic Allied Consulting to register voters.

I wonder if these "voter's" names were on the Voter Purge list?
