PALM COAST, Florida -- Three holiday "Grinches" try to steal Christmas from the Palm Coast community.

Early Sunday morning on December 9, 2012 three 17-year-old boys decided to go "grinching" in the Palm Coast area.  The boys stole various holiday lawn ornaments and damaged mailboxes along several city streets.  The teens also damaged at least one house window and a vehicle.

During an investigation late Sunday morning police identified the three boys involved, who then returned the stolen items and assisted police with identifying the damages they caused the night before.  Deputies determined that nine separate damage incidents occurred.  The teenagers are charged with felony grand theft from a dwelling, criminal mischief and felony criminal mischief.

Action News is not releasing the names of the boys at this time because they are minors.  Two of the boys were released to their parents and the third was transported to the Division of Youth Services in Daytona Beach.
