Teen sentenced to 45 years in local mall shooting
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The 19-year-old man who pleaded guilty to firing his gun inside the Regency Square Mall has been sentenced to 45 years in prison.
Last month, Joshua Davis pleaded guilty to two counts of attempted second degree murder and one count of carrying a concealed weapon.
In February, Davis and his two friends were inside the Regency Square Mall when Davis pulled out a handgun and fired at a man inside the Finish Line store. The bullet hit an innocent bystander, Manisa Sapkota, in the shoulder area. Sapkota was working at a kiosk just outside of the store.
