Two arrested on meth charges in Columbia County

FORT WHITE, Fla. -- Two people were arrested Thursday on drug charges after Columbia County authorities say they found an active meth lab.

Columbia County Sheriff's Office deputies executed a search warrant at a Fort White home on Southwest Faulkner Drive. Deputies say, they found the two suspects processing meth. Detectives found materials and chemicals consistent with the manufacture of meth. Daniel Dyal, 43, and Shannon Stamper, 40, were arrested and taken to the Columbia County Detention Facility.

Evidence found at the scene will be sent to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement crime lab for evaluation. Deputies seized about 500 grams of methamphetamine as well as a stolen scooter.

Dyal and Stamper's charges include grand theft auto, possession of methamphetamine, possession of listed chemicals, manufacture of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. They have bonds of $76,000 each.
