USS Bataan arrives to host college basketball game in Jacksonville

JACKSONVILLE, Fla -- The USS Bataan has arrived in Jacksonville and is being tied up and prepped for the 2nd annual Navy-Marine Corps Classic basketball game.

3,500 fans will be on board the Navy ship to watch Florida and Georgetown hit the hardwood. About a third of them will be active duty Sailors from either the ship or the Jacksonville area.

The game will be played November 9 at 9:00 p.m.

I'm sure the people of new jersey and new york could really use those 40 or 50 helicopters for helping out after the storm. Government assets could be better used than holding a b-ball game for the masses.
