USS Vicksburg scheduled to return to Mayport
MAYPORT, Fla. -- More than 300 Sailors will return to Naval Station Mayport on Monday morning after an eight month deployment.
The USS Vicksburg conducted maritime security operations in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in the Mediterranean and Arabian Seas.
The ship served in accompaniment with the USS Enterprise carrier strike group.
The USS Vicksburg was commissioned by the Navy in 1992 and is scheduled to be decommissioned during the spring of 2013.
