JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Delores and Wayne Weaver and Ann and David Hicks have each donated $1 million to Habijax.

The funds are lead gifts for the $16 million dollar campaign to revitalize New Town. "We are touched by this generous gift from both the Hicks and Weavers," said Habijax President and CEO Mary Kay O'Rourke.  "This donation provides a great boost in helping revitalize New Town.  This gift and others like it will enable Habijax to build new homes in this area and allow more families to say 'We're home at last.'"

The plan is to build 100 brand new homes in New Town over the next three years.  Qualified potential homeowners will also be offered an interest-free mortgage.

Habijax has provided homeownership to more than 1,850 families since 1988.

New Town is located near Eugene Butler Middle School and SP Livingston Elementary School.  Success Park is also in New Town.

For more information on Habijax and the New Town project check online at www.habijax.com or call (904) 798-4529.
