Woman stabs man after argument

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Police say a woman stabbed a man during an argument at a home in northwest Jacksonville.

Police responded to a home on Palafox Street where they found a man in his mid-fifties bleeding from a stab wound.  Police say he was in one of the apartments with a friend when a woman walked in.   An argument ensued.  The victim broke up the fight, left the apartment, and got stabbed.

The woman is being held by police.  She is in her mid-fifties.

The stabbing victim is at the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Police would not reveal the gender of the other person involved in the argument, or the relationship between the suspect and the victim.
