Alex Hill is happy to be back on Eastern Time. After spending the last two years reporting in the Panhandle, she joined the Action News team as a reporter in April 2011.
Alex's journalistic journey began in Weimer Hall at the University of Florida. It was there, among the cameras and chaos, she realized her love for this industry. That love landed her a job as a reporter at the ABC-affiliate WCJB in Gainesville. After that, it was off to Panama City Beach's NBC-affiliate, WJHG. While there, she reported on the largest oil spill in the nation's history, as well as the Bay District School Board shooting that had national audiences riveted for days. She also got to test out her chops in front of the green screen working as the weekend weather anchor.
Alex has won seven Florida Associated Press awards and in 2009 she earned national recognition at the Hearst Broadcast Competition in San Francisco.
When she's not working, you may catch Alex exploring Jacksonville. She loves a good story. So if you have one to tell, do not hesitate to come up and chat or shoot her an email at
