Email DeeDee Registre joined the Action News team in July of 2009. She is happy to be back on the First Coast reporting in the city where she spent most of her life.
She always knew she would be a reporter and pursued journalism because of her inquisitive nature. Before joining Action News, she was a gerneral assignment reporter at WALB in Albany, GA.
Dee began her journalism career in Miami where she spent time at almost every television station there. She was a writer at WSVN and also contributed to the community pages of the Miami Herald. She also interned WPLG's news department and WFOR's sports department.
She received her M.A. in Television Broadcast Journalism from the University of Miami and her B.A. from Florida State University. Though she attended rival universities, she will always be a die-hard Seminoles fan. Dee attended Sandalwood High School.
On her spare time you can find Dee at a dog park walking her Cocker Spaniel Rocky. She also travels back to Georgia often to visit her fiancee, Jamiel.
Dee is very passionate about presenting stories you want to see. If you have any story ideas you can find her in the newsroom and can reach her at 904-564-1599.
