Mark Spain is co-anchor of Action News at 5, 5:30, 6, 10:00, 10:30 and 11 each weeknight.
Mark is an award winning journalist. In addition to earning two coveted Emmys for his reports on the homeless and a wife and mother with alzheimers, he also garnered awards from The Associated Press, The Press Club of Cleveland, American Heart Association and Northeast Florida Agency On Aging.

His journey in the news business actually began as a paper carrier for The Cleveland Press and then The Plain Dealer. "The ink got onto my hands and into my blood," said Spain.
Mark holds a BA in Communications degree from Cleveland State University.
In college, he earned 100% of his college expenses and made the Dean's list. Throughout his career, Mark has participated in continuing education classes in television news and been a presenter at workshops and seminars.
He has worked in the Jacksonville television market since 2000 and joined Action News in August 2007.
"Jacksonville is a great place to live, raise a family and more importantly call home," said Spain.
Running, traveling, reading, movies and playing the guitar are what he enjoys doing in his spare time.
Mark is married with two children.
