Tracy Collins, aka Tracy Dot Com, is a former U.S. Navy and Florida Times-Union/Jacksonville.com award-winning broadcast journalist and video producer.

She started her career by graduating first in her class at the military’s Defense Information School. After serving for four years, she went on to graduate Summa Cum Laude at the University of North Florida with a degree in broadcasting. She was hired by the Florida Times-Union in 2005 and earned their Sparkplug of the Year award for bringing new, innovative ideas to the paper’s website and newspaper products.

Tracy joined the Action News team in 2011. Her deep ties to the Jacksonville community are an asset to her role.

During the week, Tracy reports on a variety of serious topics, but she is known on radio, television and online as Tracy Dot Com when she brings her creative, energetic advice on what to do in local entertainment. Each week she posts an “Are you ready for the weekend?” blog with a laundry list of information about festivals, concerts, CD release parties, fundraisers, theater productions, charity events and pet-friendly entertainment.

You can watch her “Are you ready for the weekend?” video segment Thursday mornings at 7:45 a.m. on FOX30’s “Action News This Morning.” You can also catch her weekly radio interview Thursday evening at 5:35 p.m. on 1600 AM The Beach's "Miller on Sports" with Richard Miller.

Tracy constantly volunteers her time for a variety of non-profit and community events for Goodwill, daniel Kids, Forsaken Generation Homeless Youth Project, Jacksonville Film Festival, Southern Women’s Show, Home & Patio Show, Clara White Mission, Players by the Sea, Alhambra Theatre & Dining and more.

Her mantra? If you’re bored in Jacksonville … it’s your own fault!
